On GMAD Makeover...
You can't really change the direction of an organization, if you don't change the leadership.
No disrespect to Tokes (don't even know him). I'm just sayin'... So many of our organizations die out or just become irrelevant because they change a few faces on staff every year, but their leadership and its thinking, never changes.
Our leaders (both Black and Gay) need to learn to groom the generation coming after them (instead of just fucking them or fighting with them). A good leader knows when to step down. But since ours don't, I think we need to set Term Limits in these organizations like we have for the President (and USED to have for Mayors, lol)

I think lots of young peeps stay out of The Movement, because when they visit our organizations or meetings, they see a lot of drama (infighting, sleeping around, etc).
Gay men with jobs, skills and sanity seem to disappear from the Gay community. They go to work for corporate America, and go undercover.
Gay men in healthy relationships seem to do the same thing. They disappear from the community and you never see them out together much.
Why is that? Is our community SO toxic that if you have something good going on you have to stay away to keep it? Or is our community so toxic BECAUSE all the good people stay away?
